GO&D International Projects: Africa
More than 5 million of South Africa's 43 million people are HIV positive. Each week, more than 5,000 people die from AIDS related complications. Each year, over 150,000 children are orphaned by AIDS, taxing the country's already inadequate care-giving infrastructure. It is estimated that nearly half of South Africa's population under age 15 will die before reaching age 25. The suffering in Africa is tremendous. GO&D is grateful to partner with organizations that care about the developmental needs of Africa's people by sending medical equipment and medical supplies.
GO&D is making a difference in:
Congo
Ghana
Liberia

Thank you letter from Uganda (and Sudan)
The suffering in Africa is tremendous; however, many organizations are making a difference. From World Outreach Ministry Foundation based in Washington we read,
"We at World Outreach Ministry Foundation wish to thank you and your team for the tremendous job well done in the shipping of the recently received container. It is full of things that will serve us so well in the many medical needs of our mission both here in Sudan and Uganda."

"First we conduct mobile clinics monthly into unreached areas of Uganda under the direction of our Head of Medical Operations, Dr. Shadrach. We set up shop in a vacant building or borrowed church and for several days the doctor, together with his staff of volunteer workers, will treat 100 - 150 patients a day. Much of the supplies shipped from you are used at that time - such as bandages, rubber gloves, and other first aids." |
