More Great things happening
with Our Partnerships

Children greating John Ditty at Bible school under construction.

I was in Indonesia from the 7th of February to 18th. While I was in Jakarta I surveyed the flood damage from the recent flood and left some medicines for the victims. I then flew to Medan to visit the Bible school that is being built on the outskirts of the city. They have 75 students that were clearing the land for a garden and building construction was also underway. Global Operations and Development is looking to provide a stove for their kitchen.

Next I traveled to Banda Ache and appointed Chandre as the new director of G.O.&D. Ache. We relocated the bakery and put it under the care of a committee from his church consisting of two bakers and elders. We also visited another bakery and assimilated them into our project. We are also planning to open a cake shop to bake special cakes for the Acheneese people. This side of business looks to be very prosperous and profits will go into the church committee to continue expanding the bakeries.

Finally, we flew to Nias Island and appointed Herman as new director of G.O.&D. Nias. We then met with Pastor Limm and signed a contract for our office and our buildings; one of which will be for the new bakery. Our contract is good until May of 2010.

We are also purchasing a new fishing boat on Nias, and I am glad to report that the St. Mary, our existing fishing boat, is now in Teluctelam catching lobster. The income made from this boat’s product supports three families from the church. Thanks for all your prayer and support; we will continue to update you on our projects in Indonesia. There is much more that God has planned for this torn-apart country and it is our hope to continue doing His work and spreading His love throughout all the lives we touch.
