Global Operations and Development (GO&D) has been officially registered in the Banten Province to do work in Indonesia. Land has been given for use on Nias Island in which an office and home are being constructed.

With a long-term look at the devastation on Nias Island a 2 1/2 ton truck will be purchased to be used as a microenterprise project. This will be used for hauling debris from the homes and businesses as well as for transportation of people and resources during the rebuilding phase. It will also be used for the distribution of dried packaged fish from the fishing enterprise.

The Tsunami destroyed most of the fishing boats on Nias, which are the major income producing tools of the island. Resources for rebuilding this vital part of the community's life are lacking as people are presently involved in simple survival needs. Another micro-enterprise system will include the rebuilding of fishing boats and work with local fishermen. This will include the use of processing equipment to dry and package the catch for distribution throughout the island. John Ditty, President of GO&D, will return to Indonesia in August
