Jamaica
Global Operations & Development, in partnership with Board Members, Eileen and Don Anderson, have sent a shipment of humanitarian aid to Annotto Bay Regional Hospital in Kingston, Jamaica.
The container was filled with refurbished medical equipment and other aid, including backpacks filled with school supplies for the children in that region.
Earlier this year, GO&D and the Andersons shipped out $400,000 worth of pharmaceuticals to the same hospital. That shipment was part of Global Operations & Development’s new pharmaceutical program, where GO&D partners with other organizations, churches, and indigenous persons to deliver shipments of pharmaceuticals to clinics and hospitals in developing
countries.
Originally built in 1860 as a public infirmary, the Annotto Bay Hospital expanded rapidly to provide out-patient services the many communities of North-East St Mary. Annotto Bay Hospital today handles approximately 14,661 out-patient visits annually, including emergency services.
Iraq
Recently Global Operations & Development sent container of humanitarian aid to Basra, Iraq (originally scheduled for Iraqi Kurdistan).
The 40-foot container was filled with medical equipment and supplies such as surgical, lab, and oxygen supplies.
Through an ongoing healthcare development program in Iraq, Global Operations & Development sends an average of three 40-foot containers per month full of medical equipment and supplies bound for a region in Iraq.
Global Operations & Development is dedicated to improving the lives of Iraqi children and families through the replenishment of local hospitals and medical clinics.
How you can help Monetary donations are greatly needed to help with the costs of procuring medical equipment and supplies, refurbishment, and shipping.
Volunteers are always needed to help sort and pack supplies bound for medical clinics in developing countries. Please call the volunteer coordinator at 714-523-4454 x. 130 to learn more about volunteer opportunities surrounding this project.
